Patek Philippe 4960
The Patek Philippe reference 4960 is the first ladies' Aquanaut, extending the manufacture's contemporary sports watch collection into a more compact and elegant format. Introduced in 1998, just one year after the debut of the original Aquanaut, the 4960 is powered by the high-precision quartz Calibre E19C and features central hours, minutes, sweep seconds and a date display. Retaining the collection's signature rounded octagonal case, embossed dial and integrated composite strap, it offers the unmistakable character of the Aquanaut in a refined 28mm case designed for everyday wear.
Produced primarily in stainless steel, with a small number of precious metal examples and exceptionally rare Japanese-market editions featuring blue embossed dials or integrated steel bracelets, the reference 4960 has become one of the most elusive models in the Aquanaut family. Combining sporty elegance, outstanding wearability and genuine rarity, it is increasingly sought after by collectors as the model that established the ladies' Aquanaut collection and paved the way for later references such as the 5067, 5068 and today's Aquanaut Luce models.
