Patek Philippe 5960
The Patek Philippe reference 5960 is one of the manufacture's most important modern complications, combining an Annual Calendar with a flyback chronograph in a single, highly practical timepiece. Introduced in 2006, it marked a significant milestone as the first Patek Philippe chronograph to be powered entirely by an in-house automatic movement. The watch is driven by the automatic Calibre CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H, featuring a column wheel, vertical clutch and flyback chronograph, alongside Patek Philippe's patented Annual Calendar, which requires correction only once each year at the end of February. Its distinctive dial incorporates a monocounter chronograph display, power reserve indicator, day, date and month apertures, and a day/night indicator, offering exceptional functionality with outstanding legibility. Produced in platinum, rose gold, white gold and later stainless steel, the 5960 has become one of Patek Philippe's defining contemporary references, admired for its technical innovation, everyday practicality and elegant integration of two of the manufacture's most celebrated complications.
