Introduced in 2000, the 5110 was powered by the automatic Calibre 240 HU, pairing the ultra-thin micro-rotor movement with an elegant World Time mechanism capable of displaying the time simultaneously across all 24 time zones. Its beautifully balanced dial, featuring a central guilloché medallion surrounded by rotating city and 24-hour rings, paid tribute to the legendary World Time watches created in collaboration with Louis Cottier during the mid-twentieth century, while introducing a practical one-pusher system for adjusting local time.

Produced in yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and platinum, the reference 5110 became the foundation of Patek Philippe's modern World Time family and established the design language that would evolve through the 5130, 5131, 5230 and 5231. Although later references introduced larger cases and refined aesthetics, the 5110 remains highly regarded for its classical proportions, exceptional legibility and faithful interpretation of one of Patek Philippe's most iconic complications.
